Over the next week, no matter when you’re reading this, you can take the Seven Day Healthy Habits Challenge. This is for you and only you to be accountable for. This is going to be something that you will love or you will hate but that’s the beauty of life – we get to try something that will benefit us in the long run.
Each day will have a new task added. As the days progress, you will add a new healthy habit to your routine. By the seventh day, you will have incorporated all of the following habits into your life. The best way to keep track of this is through a journal.
So, without further ado, here is your Seven Day Healthy Habits Challenge:
Day 1: Drink five full bottles of water (approx. 24-32oz.) throughout the day.
Day 2: Take a 30 minute walk – listen to music, podcasts, walk your dog, or, simply, just walk.
Day 3: Take a break from screens at least an hour before bed. This includes scrolling through your phone, watching TV, or being on the computer. The blue light will keep you from getting the best sleep you deserve.
Day 4: Have one meal that is completely made of veggies. A lot of the time, we’re missing key nutrients because we don’t eat enough fruits and veggies. Get creative and make something that is completely vegetable based. Google and Pinterest have thousands of recipes.
Day 5: Read at least one chapter from a fiction book. Reading fiction allows our mind to take a break from real life and get creative.
Day 6: Eat nothing processed, with refined sugar, or white flour. Your body needs fuel to work optimally. It’s not fair to you or your lovely body that you’re not fueling it.
Day 7: Cut out caffeine and alcohol, today. Both caffeine and alcohol have adverse effects on our hormones and dehydrate our bodies. Cutting back from it will give your body the environment it needs to be optimal.
You get one body in this life. Please, please take care of it. You will feel so much better.
